Join the culinary team at Meridian Restaurant and Bar inside the Headlands Coastal Lodge and Spa. Headlands Coastal Lodge and Spa is a luxury retreat catering to adventure-seekers and the active Pacific NW lifestyle. Our carefully appointed 33 room hotel and restaurant offers a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean, Haystack Rock, and Cape Kiwanda. We are looking for an ambitious and fun Line Cook to assist in the preparation of NW inspired dishes. You’ll perform tasks such as prep and set up workstations with quality ingredients, to artfully prepare inspired dishes.

A great line cook will be quick, diligent, with a steady demeanor and a willingness to learn and grow . You will be deft and able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced environment while being part of a talented creative and fun team. We strive to embrace the coastal experience and offer our guests the same through our passion of the bounty that is unique to our area. We are looking for someone who shares that same passion.

  • Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully
  • Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
  • Prepare and stock cooking ingredients for service
  • Utilize your creative skills to prepare world class dishes  
  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned



  • Experience as a line cook or kitchen production work, with a passion to learn
  • Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
  • Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
  • A team player with good communication skills
  • Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
  • Able to carry up to 50 lbs
  • High school diploma or equivalent is desirable
  • Must have Food Handlers Card
